What is Retargeting?

Google is smart in the way ADS are presented during the entire browser experience. For marketers, "Retargeting" reminds the consumer they are interested in the product or service immediately after the first exposure.

Remarketing is really great news for advertisers. Google states "Remarketing campaigns are used to show ads to people who have visited your website or used your app. These campaigns provide you with extra settings and reports specifically for reaching previous visitors and users". Can be used across multiple ad networks for users on desktops and mobile devices.
When people leave your website without buying anything, for example, remarketing helps you reconnect with them by showing relevant ads across their different devices.

WOW! I Know this sounds like rocket science, buts its a very effective way to advertise.

Google has released the new email-list remarketing as well, named "Customer Match" . When our customers are logged in to Google Search, YouTube, or Gmail we are showing product ads that they have had interest in.

Studies have shown that as low as only 2% of your visitors convert to buying the first experience with your web and digital footprint. Now with "Remarketing" the hot buzz word, your brand and product offerings get noticed with a much higher frequency.

Note : The impressions do stack up faster than a simple "ADWORD AD" and the ad budget must be managed, but the outcome is higher.
Google has a great introduction to this entire idea of "Remarketing" found here
